Clinical Trials & Psychopharmacology A post-graduate course in clinical trials management at The University of Chicago was completed
a few years ago. One of my main interests continues to be in the development of new medications for the management of
depression, anxiety and insomnia, as well as agents for the treatment of other psychiatric disorders. Combination treatments (medications & ongoing psychotherapy) are supported
(and frequently encouraged) through my practice. Patients often require pharmacotherapy along with outpatient
psychotherapy for maximum benefit. Medical Psychology People with
neurologic diseases (e.g., multiple sclerosis, dementia, seizures, headaches, chronic pain, etc.), fibromyalgia, pulmonary
conditions and other medical problems are seen for solution focused counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy and
supportive therapy. Because depression and anxiety frequently accompany these conditions, time-limited interventions
can be helpful in fostering adjustment and coping with disease.
